Introduction to Pingyao Ancient City
Pingyao Ancient City, located in the central part of Shanxi Province, is a well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage site. With a history of over 2,700 years, it is renowned for its ancient city wall, traditional architecture, and rich cultural heritage.
Ancient City Wall
The ancient city wall of Pingyao is one of the most well-preserved city walls in China, dating back to the Ming Dynasty. It measures about six kilometers in length and features six gates and 72 watchtowers. Walking on top of the city wall, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the entire old town.
Traditional Architecture
